Chad starts class Monday, so we thought we should take full advantage of his last free weekend. Someone on campus had an appointment downtown and needed a ride, so we took that as an opportunity to explore Boston.
Typical Chad & Chelsea style: spontaneity. We did not look up sites before going–we just went and expected to find a good time. Chad brought a book with him as a backup in case our downtown adventure turned into a coffeehouse bore-fest. I tossed the book into the back seat and told him, “NO WAY!” Shrugging off my bold statement, he consulted a map of downtown.
One of the first things we saw shocked us.
We walked to a different side of the building. The next thing we saw shocked us even more… It was as if the message was stronger, larger, clearer…
Now that we knew Boston wasn’t a perverse city, we kept going on our journey.
After we left Boston Common, we headed to Newbury St. to do some shopping, stopped at Cheers (the TV-inspired pub), then headed back to the hospital. Here are some pictures we took while walking around:
And this is how I felt after all that walking:
While we waited for our new friend to get out of her appointment we had a little contest that Chad always wins. 🙂
